Camp Rooster LET THE GAMES BEGIN !

The campers, Miller, Webster, and Rooster, using good Zen, all waited patiently in their crates waiting for camp to start. Their manners were perfect as they left to begin their first challenge.

Camp Criteria

Using a rural setting and camp format provide the dogs and trainers the opportunity to:
  • have fun, practice coaching skills, work in team situations
  • use past learned behaviors in different settings, on different surfaces, and with varying distractions
  • increase ability to maintain below threshold by decreasing reactivity
  • apply BMO challenges in creative ways

Rooster is telling us how it is done in his neck of the woods.

  1. The Opening Ceremonies are quite impressive. Drum roll, please!

  2. What I liked best was Cathy explaining that Rooster taught himself the walking on the ledge with the sit and down. That is the whole point of this kind of training the dog gets to basically teach themselves and we are there to capture what they do and reward it! When the dogs have ownership of their skills they execute them better and enjoy performing them that much more!!! Cathy great example of siezing the opportunites presented!!!!!!!
